It connects all devices that use it and bring them together.The internet is accessed millions of times daily by tons of different people. You can use the internet for many things for example for research for entertainment and for news. The internet can carry many things like personal information and it can spread really fast and if it is out there then you cant get rid of it.

A protocol is a set of rules for transmitting between electronic devices. In order for the computer to send information they must agree on how it will be structured. Protocols are established by international organizations. One of the most important computer protocol is OSI open system interconnection. The most important sets of internet protocols are TCP/IP HTTP and FTP.
What is DNS?
DNS stands for Domain Name Servers. A DNS is similar to a phone book that is on the internet. They maintain a directory of domain names and translate them to IP addresses. This allows the computer or machine to remember the website based on IP addresses rather than the name of the site. When you type in a web addresses your ISP views the DNS associated with the domain name.
